The age of carefree globalisation is over. It is not coming back.

The return of power-states has rewritten the rules. The United States has weaponised the digital world: any data entrusted to American infrastructure can fall under foreign jurisdiction. China has weaponised rare earths and critical materials. Russia has weaponised energy. Each time, a cold and methodical strategy, openly claimed by those who pursue it.

Against this, Europe has deindustrialised: in six years, it has lost almost a million industrial jobs. This dangerously weakens our ability to build a merchant ship, a train, a nuclear plant, the very civilian capabilities a military arsenal rests on. By deindustrialising, we became structurally dependent on foreign powers to build our own independence.

The paradox is total.

Europe and France must rearm. Industrially, militarily and morally. Because a nation that despises itself from within ends up welcoming its adversary as a liberator.

For a long time I tried to keep my convictions separate from my work. That is over. Alongside other entrepreneurs, I am committing to this fight.

But for a strong Europe to be possible, it must first see clearly. Europe legislates, issues directives, necessary texts. Yet it remains reactive, while its rivals anticipate. It does not see its own industrial ground, its own dependencies, its own vulnerabilities.

And you cannot take the initiative on what you cannot see. Weakness attracts predators.
